Day 6 - Cathy Schultz

On the 6th date of Christmas my True Love gave to me….

Cathy Schultz

Cathy is a cute, 28 year old that is fun to be around. She is actually friends with another girl Sean knows so he thought that was funny. She served a LDS mission in Spain. She is the youngest of 5 kids and it sounds like there are 5 kids in 6 years….wow mama! There are 5 kids in or family but we are spaced out and I believe the last 2 of us are accidents! But the youngest of 5 kids….that means she gets my vote! Sean is the middle child in our family but the 1st boy! Cathy is from a little town by Rexburg, Idaho. She attended school at BYU Idaho but moved to Utah for a change and has been here for about 4 years. She is currently working for Fort Knox gun safes in Orem doing accounts payable! Some of the things she loves to do is: quilt, read, run, camp, watch movies, be with family and friends and definitely sleep!!!

Sean said that the night went good and they were able to talk a lot over dinner!
They went to this little Mexican food place, Joe Veras for dinner on Center Street in Provo.

After dinner they went to open mic night at Velour, in which they had to get signed up for Sean to be able to play. Sean made hot chocolate, brought blankets and brought a heater. Sean ended up getting inside pretty quick so they only needed the hot chocolate. Everyone waiting in line was pretty jealous of their hot chocolate!!!

Sean signed up in #12 spot but it doesn’t sound like #12 was his lucky number last night! He said there was lots of good music and good people performing. Cathy and Sean could not talk a ton because they had to talk in between people’s performances. When it came time for Sean, he decided he wanted to borrow the house guitar since it could plug in to the system and sound better. Well the guy right before Sean was left handed so he had to move the strap around so when Sean put on the guitar….TRAGEDY struck….He was so nervous that the guitar suffered the consequences….The strap came undone and the guitar dropped right there on the stage! I do not think this probably helped Sean’s nerves at all!
Sean said the first song went OKAY but the second song he did was probably a mistake. He said he should have just stopped after the first song or chose a different second song because it was not good! They only listened to one more guy and decided they had heard and seen enough. Hopefully Cathy was not scared away by Sean’s performance.

Sean said he felt like they had a good time but Cathy seemed a little reserved throughout the evening. Oh the nerves of blind dates! Did Cathy run for the door after hanging out with Sean for an evening or will she be back for more? We will have to wait and see…..

I don’t think I ever really went on a blind date… Crazy! Now I am setting Sean up on a dozen and I never have to feel the awkwardness of a "blind date!" How fun! Love it!
