Holly Syphus
December 23rd! Sean’s Birthday! He turned the 33 years old!
Happy Birthday old guy!
Holly is a 31 year old, redhead. She is a native to Los
Angeles and moved here to attend BYU. She comes from a family of 10 children
with 2 sisters and 7 brothers all of whom have served a mission for “The Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.” Holly served her mission in east Texas.
She served in the Dallas, TX mission Spanish speaking. Actually she was in
Tyler, TX as one of her areas which was probably still part of our stake at the
time she was there. She graduated with a major in Marriage and Family Studies.
She now works for Ancestry.com as a computer programmer in Provo. She says she is an extroverted, sarcastic,
fun-loving, hard working, non-quitter who enjoys learning new things. She loves
watching movies, dancing and singing! She says when she is not working she is
either playing sports, at the gym, out with friends or relaxing watching a
movie.
Sean doesn’t think she really hunts but she does know how to
shoot a gun. Her dad made sure all the kids new how to shoot a gun. She is
planning on spending the holidays with her big family and she has about 26
nieces and nephews. Sean said she has a fun and energetic personality with a
beautiful voice. She has sang in church a couple of times recently and really
can sing amazing.
Sean actually has known Holly for the last few dates but did
not realize that I was setting him up with the Holly he has been playing
volleyball with at church. She had emailed me and so I just told Sean who his
date was and a little about Holly but it was not until he picked her up that he
had to chuckle because he did not know. So she loves to play volleyball and is
very competitive which probably comes from being in a large family.
When Sean picked up Holly they went out for lunch at this
pizza place that was African themed. He kept joking that the place needed some
nice African animal heads on the wall. One of Sean’s dreams is to go hunting in
Africa some day.
They placed at the fun center at Provo beach resort. There
was a rope coarse which was super easy so they started to challenge each other
to make it more difficult. They even did part of the coarse with their eyes
closed to. They placed different arcade
games and Sean said she couldn’t just let Sean win; although, Sean ended up
beating her by about 10 point in each game. They placed an ice hockey game that
seemed like it was on steroids because it would spit out all these little pucks
and be complete chaos at times. They
placed a little a little basketball, ski ball and bowling. They had a really
fun time.

~She likes to rock out to the songs playing in her
headphones at work
~She has been in 3 jazz choirs
~She has taken fencing
~She has had a police escort on I-15
~Being from LA, she had a ton of black friends, friends who
influenced me for life; thus, she considers herself a black girl trapping in a
white girl’s body
~She has a compulsive need to never turn down a dare
~As a rule in her house growing up, they were all taught how
to shoot and reload a gun
~If she lived her life as a voice for Disney, she would be
the happiest woman in the world! Who wouldn’t want to be known as helping bring
happiness to all who love the world of Disney?
~ She always eats her vegetables 1st! Her parents
have ruined her for life!
~ She wears heels almost everyday! Every opportunity in life
is an opportunity to dress it up!
