Day 12 - Anastasia Surkova

On the 12^th Date of Christmas my True Love gave to me….

Anastasia Surkova

Anastasia is a cute little 27 year old from Moscow, Russia and moved to Utah to attend BYU. She came her as a non-member after talking with a friend about how good BYU was. She was baptized about 4 years ago. She is a super fun, cute, brunette with an attractive little accent. Who doesn’t love a Russian accent? She finished her degree in social psychology I believe. She had said that one day she would love to run either a half or a full marathon.  She told Sean that she doesn’t know if she would really want to hunt but would be okay with someone that did like to hunt.

She is pretty tall and athletic! She loves sports, outdoors and especially horseback riding.

She plans on going to her best friends parent’s house to celebrate the holidays. Because it is Christmas Eve, Sean and Anastasia were only able to hang out for a couple of hours.

They decided to go ice-skating for a little while. Neither Sean nor Anastasia ended up falling down at all. That is pretty impressive for it being Sean’s first time ice skating and knowing how much Sean loves to do tricks with different things. He did say that he did not doing any crazy tricks or anything because he was so proud of his no falling streak and did not want to ruin it! Sean said that he had a fun time ice skating with Anastasia. He said they were able to talk a lot in their short time together while skating!

Will their be a relationship that starts to heat up the ice or will this ice breaker date produce a friendship?

Day 11 - Holly Syphus

On the 11^th date of Christmas my True Love gave to me…

December 23rd! Sean’s Birthday! He turned the 33 years old! Happy Birthday old guy!

 

Holly is a 31 year old, redhead. She is a native to Los Angeles and moved here to attend BYU. She comes from a family of 10 children with 2 sisters and 7 brothers all of whom have served a mission for “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.” Holly served her mission in east Texas. She served in the Dallas, TX mission Spanish speaking. Actually she was in Tyler, TX as one of her areas which was probably still part of our stake at the time she was there. She graduated with a major in Marriage and Family Studies. She now works for Ancestry.com as a computer programmer in Provo.  She says she is an extroverted, sarcastic, fun-loving, hard working, non-quitter who enjoys learning new things. She loves watching movies, dancing and singing! She says when she is not working she is either playing sports, at the gym, out with friends or relaxing watching a movie.

Sean doesn’t think she really hunts but she does know how to shoot a gun. Her dad made sure all the kids new how to shoot a gun. She is planning on spending the holidays with her big family and she has about 26 nieces and nephews. Sean said she has a fun and energetic personality with a beautiful voice. She has sang in church a couple of times recently and really can sing amazing.

Sean actually has known Holly for the last few dates but did not realize that I was setting him up with the Holly he has been playing volleyball with at church. She had emailed me and so I just told Sean who his date was and a little about Holly but it was not until he picked her up that he had to chuckle because he did not know. So she loves to play volleyball and is very competitive which probably comes from being in a large family.

When Sean picked up Holly they went out for lunch at this pizza place that was African themed. He kept joking that the place needed some nice African animal heads on the wall. One of Sean’s dreams is to go hunting in Africa some day.

They placed at the fun center at Provo beach resort. There was a rope coarse which was super easy so they started to challenge each other to make it more difficult. They even did part of the coarse with their eyes closed to.  They placed different arcade games and Sean said she couldn’t just let Sean win; although, Sean ended up beating her by about 10 point in each game. They placed an ice hockey game that seemed like it was on steroids because it would spit out all these little pucks and be complete chaos at times.  They placed a little a little basketball, ski ball and bowling. They had a really fun time.

Fun Facts about Holly:

~She sings ALL THE TIME

~Her nickname is “Jukebox”

~She likes to rock out to the songs playing in her headphones at work

~She has been in 3 jazz choirs

~She has taken fencing

~She has had a police escort on I-15

~Being from LA, she had a ton of black friends, friends who influenced me for life; thus, she considers herself a black girl trapping in a white girl’s body

~She has a compulsive need to never turn down a dare

~As a rule in her house growing up, they were all taught how to shoot and reload a gun

~If she lived her life as a voice for Disney, she would be the happiest woman in the world! Who wouldn’t want to be known as helping bring happiness to all who love the world of Disney?

~ She always eats her vegetables 1^st! Her parents have ruined her for life!

~ She wears heels almost everyday! Every opportunity in life is an opportunity to dress it up!

I am sorry for the delayed posts!

Sorry for the delays...

The boys and I have not felt good this weekend and I have been dealing with some throwing up and congested little boys. Not to mention moving all our stuff into a garage and living at my in laws. I wish that I had a place to call home right about now. We are suppose to sign papers today for the second time so hopefully our buyer will sign papers this time like he is suppose to.

It has just been a big mess and this guy is just not a nice person. It saddens my heart that there are such mean people in the world.

I pray that my family will be home for Christmas! My little boys deserve to have a Christmas.

I will try to stay more up to date with these last 2 dates! Sorry again!

Day 10 - Marie Knuteson

On the 10^th Date of Christmas my True Love gave to me…

Marie grew up in Manti, UT. She has lived in both Norway and Mexico for a little while because that is where her parents are from. She enjoys snowboarding but has never hunted. She said she was opened to the idea of hunting. However, she might feel bad if she killed a little deer but Sean asked about turkeys. Since turkeys are annoying she would not mind hunting turkeys. She is definitely opened to hunting but doesn’t want to deal with the bloody stuff. Perfect…. I wouldn’t either!

She is 27 years old and has a 4 year old girl daughter. She was living in Provo the last few months but just recently found herself moving back to Manti.

Sean went to pick Maria up but she was not completely ready and was still fixing her hair. This gave them some time to begin to get to know each other. They even talked about her hair colors. She mentioned that she has had completely blonde hair before and completely dark hair. I find it very interesting that she said people definitely treat her differently with the different hair colors she has. Then it was super funny because without planning it at all they seemed to be matching a little bit in their outfits! Later that night the waiter even commented about it and asked if they had planned to match for something because their outfits complemented each other very well.

After a long day of moving, Sean met up with Marie and was starving. She wanted to eat something healthy so they ate at Carrabba’s Italian grill in Provo/Orem area.

They were going to maybe try to ice skate but then they started to talk about her nieces wedding coming up. So they went to the mall to look at dresses and heels. Sean said it was a lot of fun just walking around the mall and getting to know Marie better.

At one of the stores they found this cute little girl’s Disney princess dress for her daughter. She bought her a dress, slippers, wand and a little tiara. Sean really had a blast just hanging around the mall and shopping with Marie!

After the mall, Sean and Marie were still enjoying hanging out that they decided to find something else to do. Sean remembered that there was this Christmas show at the place he had gone to open mic night the other night.

Sean said it was a great night and had a ton of fun with Marie. Since I did not have a date scheduled yet for Sean for Sunday he decided to see if Marie wanted to meet up on Sunday. Sean ended up picking her up for church! After church Marie needed to get her stuff ready to go back to Manti since she had been up for a few days with friends. Sean also had to go do some work. It sounds like it was a good night and that they had a lot in common.

Will the connection last? Can a long distance relationship emerge?

Day 9 - Sammie Hansen

On the 9^th Date of Christmas my True Love gave to me…

Sammie Hansen

Sammie is a cute brunette from Orem, Utah. She works for a company that deals with essential oils. She loves the outdoors, hunting, fishing, snow mobiles, and snow boarding. She’s had to have surgery from blowing out her knees snow boarding. Sammie comes from a big family with lots of brothers so she has definitely developed a love for hunting and outdoor adventures. Her family has had a houseboat at Lake Powell and she always loves going down there. This was definitely something that interested Sean since he has lived down at Lake Powell for about the last 4 years working for the Department of Natural resources. Lake Powell is definitely one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen!

The date started out with a little bit of Texas Roadhouse! Who doesn’t just LOVE their delicious rolls! Dinner went well and afterwards they decided to go to the comedy club on Center St. in Provo. Sammie and Sean were talking about what they wanted to do and Sean said he has actually never been to a comedy club place. She loves comedy and thought it would be super fun.

Sean said it turned out to be a good night and it was fun to try something new like the comedy club!

Did they click or will it only be friendship to stick?

Day 8 - Mystery Girl

On the 8th Date of Christmas my True Love gave to me....

Mystery Girl!

So  this sweet, brunette wants to remain anonymous. The pictures I post will only have Sean in them but I PROMISE he really, honestly went out on a fun date with a gorgeous girl. I am honoring her wishes by not posting her name or any images of her as sad as it makes me. I am really sorry if this post is to mysterious!! She is a cute, 26 year old who is from Layton, Utah.

Sean picked up Mystery girl and they went out to eat at a Mexican food place called Garcia's! Fun fact about Sean: I think he could eat Mexican food for every meal of every day and still be just super happy about it! 

They really enjoyed the food and being in each others company! Sean Said that Mystery girl and him seemed to have similar tasted and he really thought she was super fun to be around. I guess there was one thing though... She went shooting guns for her first time recently and was NOT in love with that. She could not help but think of the crimes done with guns. This made Sean a little sad since he is constantly wearing a gun for work let along this love for hunting!

After dinner, they went rock climbing at the "Salomon Center." He said that mystery girl was very enjoyable to hang out with and was super good at rock climbing. He referred to her as "a little Spiderman." He said she was super fit and petite. Sadly all the pictured I received for the evening are only of Sean and only of him climbing from a distance as well.
