I am a Conservation Officer for the Utah Division of
Wildlife Resources (Police Officer for hunting and fishing). Most of what I get
to do for work is what most people take off to do for vacation. I lived at
Lake Powell for the last for years and got to be on a boat every day. I have
had the chance to ride in helicopters to count animals, hold baby bear cubs,
bald eagles, and many other animals. I have been with the division for 5 years
and I’m still waiting for my first day of work.
I am a Texas boy born and raised. I have been in Utah for
about 6 years, four of which have been in Bullfrog and the last 6 months in
Provo.
What is the one thing about yourself that you would like me to know?
What is the one thing about yourself that you would like me to know?
I am very optimistic and energetic. I love to do a lot of
different things and can be very spontaneous.
When was your last relationship and how long did it last?
That one is complicated. There have been many people that I
have gone on dates with here in Utah but none of them have worked out to the
point where I thought I might marry this person. I am looking for a person that
I am completely in love with and won’t settle until I do.
What are you looking for in a relationship?
I am looking for someone who is easy going, energetic,
athletic, adventurous, caring, trustworthy, and dependable. I want someone that
is my best friend. Someone I can come home and want to hear everything about
their day and life. I want someone that I can grow old with and we still sit on
the couch when we’re 80 like my grandparents did.
What do you think
is the most important value in a relationship?
I think that loyalty and trustworthiness are the most
important parts of a relationship. If you two are loyal to each other than you
are willing to put that person first and strive to make them happy and in turn
will make you happy. If you trust each other and know you’re on the same page
then there is less room for problems.
Do you want to marry or have you ever been married?
I have been married and divorced. I was married in 2003 and
got divorced in 2006. It was a girl that I went to high school with and we were
young. We were both working and going to school full time and never spent much time
together and she moved out. It has taught me some valuable life lessons: life
is short and goes fast, time with the person you care about is invaluable and
nothing substitutes for that, and marriage is more than just butterflies in my
tummy, its work, dedication, and compromise. I want to find someone that I can
accomplish all those things with.
What do you look for in a husband/wife?
I want someone that I love spending time with. Someone who
loves the outdoors. I think it would be cool if they wanted to hunt but not a
have to. I would want them to at least go camp with me sometimes when I go.
Someone athletic and adventurous who might run a marathon with me some day. Or
be on a couples sand volleyball team with me. Someone who is caring and
thoughtful. Trustworthy and honest.

Sean was the winner of the Nebo Full Marathon!!! |
Do you want/do you have any children?
I would like to have some children one day. I think 3 has a
nice ring to it and honestly think that if I got to 4 maybe getting the old
snip-a –roo. I can tell you that I don’t want half a dozen kids or more lol.

My Brother Deron's Twins.....But doesn't Sean look good with kids!!! |
What do you do for fun?
I like to hunt and fish. I run marathons and triathlons. I
play the guitar, am learning the piano and want to get a violin. I like to
snowboard and wakeboard. Anything that is adventurous or outdoors I’m game for
doing.
Is religion important to you?
Is religion important to you?
Yes. That has been a tough one for me because I have not
always followed the straight and narrow. I feel that I have a core desire to
follow the church and think that some f the trials I have faced have humbled me
and given me a better ability to understand when other people have struggles in
life.
Do you follow politics? Are you a Democrat or a
Republican?
I don’t follow politics. I would call myself a republican
because I side more with their values and beliefs. Mostly because I disagree
with a lot of the gun control that democrats want.
Do you believe in love at first sight?
Slightly. I’ve seen it in the movies lol. I believe in being
attracted to someone at first sight. I can believe in love after a first
meeting. Because I think that love is more than lust. I want to love everything
about that person and as a result feel that I need to get to know them to truly
be in love with them. It’s not a word I just throw around.
What is your most treasured possession and why?
I like a lot of my stuff but if it all burned up, that’s
just it, it’s stuff. I wouldn’t be happy, but there isn’t much I couldn’t live
without. The memories and stories I have are my most prized possessions.
What is your favorite month of the year and why? Does he
like to sweat it out in summer activities or curl up like a cat in winter?
My favorite time of year is the fall. That means that it’s
hunting season. I also like Utah because there seems to be four distinct
seasons and there is actually stuff I like to do in all of them.
Which is your favorite book/movie?
My favorite movie is Braveheart. I don’t read many books.
Which is the last book you read?
Give a boy a gun. (Real life story about the man who killed
two Idaho Game Wardens.)
Which is the one job in the world that you would love to do?
I think I am lucky enough to do the job that I would most
love to do!
I like all music. I mostly listen to rock but have lately
been listening to a lot of country. I also find myself listening to pop music
and singing along with the latest Katy Perry hits lol.
Do you like animals/keep pets?
I love animals. I have a dog named Toby and have had him for
10 years. He’s a yorkie (but he’s a man’s yorkie lol) he really is the coolest
dog ever. He is an inside dog and sleeps at the foot of my bed.
Lately it’s been working on my masters degree which I’ll
finish next year through USU. But what I really love to do is hunt anytime that
is available. Fish, play sports like volleyball or basketball. Living in
Bullfrog I actually found myself becoming quite crafty and built several shed
antler lamps and just recently finished a king sized log bed frame.
Where do you see yourself in five years time?
I would like to be married and purchased a house with some
property. I want to have horses, cows chickens and a place I could shoot my
guns off my back porch. If there was one goal that I have in life it is to own
my own little piece of paradise.
If you were an animal in the wild, what would you be?
I would be an eagle. Then I could fly anywhere in the world.
Do you believe a cup is half empty or half full? Are you
an optimist or a pessimist?
I tend to be a cup half full guy. Life’s experiences have
shown me that nothing is too bad or tough to work through or get over. There
are way too many things good in life to not be happy.
If you could travel back through time, what single
mistake would you correct in life? What are the deepest regrets of a person?
I’m not sure I would change much, unless it was actually
purchasing a winning lottery ticket lol. There are many things that I wonder
how life would be if things had gone differently, but I wouldn't be who I am
today without life working out as it has.
You have got six months to live, what will you do first?
If I only had six months to live I would probably spend what
time I could with my family and then spend my last days hunting everything I
could in the world.
Who was your hero, as a child?
I think that my grandpa was my hero. They owned a 500 acre
farm in Arkansas and I loved visiting them there. In his 70’s he was still
getting on horseback and working cattle. He grew up in a time when he slept
under the stars rounding up wild cattle and spoke with Indians in their native
tongue. He could be old and crabby with my grandmother but still sit on the
couch each night and hold her hand; he loved her to the end.
If you won a lottery, how would you spend your millions?
I would start a tv show with my buddy Marc and we would
travel the world hunting everything and film our crazy adventures. It would be
a riot I promise lol.

One day these boys woke up and decided to drive to Texas the next day to hunt! |
Which was the first crush you ever had?
I can remember having a crush on Alyssa Duke. She was a
senior when I was a freshman.
If you have friends coming over, what would you cook?
It would be something that I’ve killed. My favorite thing to
cook would be deer chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, with green
been casserole.
Describe your perfect holiday. One thinks frozen Alaska,
the other sunny Australia.
I think that it would be on the beach in Tahiti. Scuba
diving and jungle tours sound amazing.
Which T.V. program would you never miss?
Haven’t had TV in 7 years. I do like to watch it but there
is no show I can’t live without.
Are you a morning person or a night person?
I am a night person. I could stay up til 2 am no problem but
getting up in the morning is hard. That is unless I have a hunt, then I can get
up a 4 ready to go. I usually hit the snooze several times before finally
getting up.
Would you like to
climb a mountain or trek across a desert?
I would love to climb to the top of a mountain and trek across
the desert. I have had the chance to get to work in both types of areas and I
think they each have their own beauty. The biggest thing is that I don’t think
there is an adventure that I wouldn't be up for.
What adjective would a close friend use to describe you?
Friendly or idiotic.
Friendly.
Who is you favorite actor/actress/celebrity and why?
I really like Denzel Washington. I think that in most of his
movies he plays an amazing role.
Who is your
favorite sportsperson?
Michael Jordan because man he was awesome.
What is your favorite sporting activity?
I have really grown to love volleyball. If it is something
that I’m watching then it would be college football on Saturdays.
Which is your favorite genre of movies -
comedy/thriller/action?
I like action movies the most but always enjoy and good
thriller or comedy.
